The WCCP we are very aware that once a person has got past the stage of opening the box, something goes awry with the brain and quite intelligent people become somewhat demented because the instrument does not play in the manner in which they think it should.  This is obviously not the fault of the person but because the instrument is so obviously stupid!  At the WCCP try to remedy this malady by running beginner and post beginner classes which are helpful but it is obvious to the WCCP that some people would benefit from one-to-one instruction.  The following have assisted WCCP in tutoring:

John Dipper who as a professional musician also composes and teaches traditional and vernacular violin/fiddle and concertina.  He acts as a regular tutor at our WCCP events.  He has become very involved in the WCCP Folk SW tutor programme teaching young children to play concertina and he is also involved in beginner sessions with adults.
